About Us

Stuff You Should Know launched in 2008. Since then we’ve released more than 1500 episodes and counting, toured North America, the UK and Ireland, and Australia and New Zealand, and picked up a handful of awards along the way. Oh yeah! We also had a TV show that ran for one season on Science Channel (it was the most expensive pilot they’ve ever produced). At the risk of tooting our own horn, we also have a Trivial Pursuit game, a book called An Incomplete Compendium of Mostly Interesting Things, and we once had our own category on Jeopardy! National College Championship.

Josh Clark

Josh Clark has been with Stuff You Should know since its inception in 2008, coming up with the name and testing with a handful of other co-hosts until Chuck came along and things really took off (like, really, really).

Since then he has generally lived and breathed SYSK, coming to deeply appreciate researching different stuff each week and finding what makes it worth knowing about.

Josh also is the creator of The End of the World with Josh Clark, a 10-part podcast about the existential risks that may wipe humanity out before we get a chance to really get started.

Josh splits his time between Atlanta and the Space Coast of Florida, so he’s pretty glamorous. He lives with the two loves of his life, his wife Umi and their four-legged daughter Momo.

Chuck Bryant

Charles W. (Chuck) Bryant was born in Atlanta in the early 1970s under the sign of Pisces. After attending Redan High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English over six wonderful years in Athens at the University of Georgia.

Post college, he spent the next decade kicking around New Jersey and Arizona, and traveling the country and world. He eventually settled in and worked in the film industry for several years in Los Angeles, then moved back to Atlanta and got his first professional writing job at HowStuffWorks.com, where he met his friend and future co-host Josh Clark.

In his off-time, Chuck enjoys hanging out with his wife & daughter and cats & dogs, spending time at his family camp listening to the wind and water, and playing in his old-man band, El Cheapo. He is a Gibson guy, not Fender.
