Maybe "murdered" wasn't the best term to use

In a rather surprising twist in the story on the death in Los Angeles of Canadian 21-year-old Elisa Lam, footage has surfaced from a surveillance camera in an elevator at the Cecil Hotel where Lam's body was discovered two weeks after she went missing in cistern that supplied the hotel with drinking water. The footage suggests that perhaps Lam wasn't murdered at all but may have died accidentally while on drugs, possibly PCP.

Here's the footage and she's definitely on something:

Lam's bizarre behavior coupled with the apparent fact that PCP attracts users to water (which I couldn't find the cause of but found two sources that said as much here and here), it looks like it's possible she may have accidentally drowned on sherm. Also, the Cecil Hotel boasts the world's slowest-responding elevator ever.
